"Automatic" oiling isn't self oiling like a larger saw, but a bulb you push to feed oil to the bar and chain. All of these mini saw blades require lubrication to work at their best so you should press the lubrication button fairly often while cutting. (Universal Saw Chain Oil for Fast Efficient Cutting Is Recommended.)
